The spring session of our beginner’s running group kicks off at 5:30pm on Wednesday March 29th with an informational meeting at RUNdetroit.
Our 10-week program is designed for someone who is not active and would like to run a 5K. It is intended to increase endurance and strength to take you from the couch to the finish line of your first 5K. This program includes 3 coach led workouts each week, a 3.101 moisture wicking technical tee, a 3.101 water bottle, product discounts at RUNdetroit and a discounted entry to the graduation event, the Riverfront Run on June 10th 2017. Cost for this training package is $60.
To learn more about this program, be at the RUNdetroit store by 5:30pm on Wednesday March 29th. At this session we’ll answer your questions, talk about the program’s goals and you can register on-site. You can also register in our online store (registration opens in March)
Group workouts start on Monday April 3rd.
Workouts will be held on the following days:
Mondays, 5:30pm at Adams Field/Blanchett Track on Wayne State’s Campus Map
Wednesday, 5:30pm at Dequindre Cut Eastern Market Map
Saturdays, 8am at RUNdetroit store parking map
Workouts are held RAIN or SHINE. The only time we’ll cancel is if there is severe/dangerous weather like tornado warnings or lightning.
The event we will be training for is the Riverfront Run 5K in Detroit on June 10th, 2017.
